Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough

8 slices deli turkey breast

8 slices cheddar cheese (or cheese of your choice)

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon dried Italian herbs

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Olive oil spray (or butter for brushing)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean-up.

Prepare Dough: Open the crescent roll dough package and carefully unroll it onto a clean surface. Gently separate the dough into 8 individual triangles.

Layer Ingredients: On each dough triangle, spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard if using. Place a slice of turkey on the dough, followed by a slice of cheese. Feel free to sprinkle a pinch of garlic powder and Italian herbs for added flavor.

Roll-Up: Starting from the wide end of the triangle, roll the dough up toward the pointed end, encasing the turkey and cheese. Make sure to pinch any seams to prevent the filling from leaking out during cooking.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the rolled-up crescent rolls on your prepared baking sheet, making sure they are spaced apart.

Brush and Season: Lightly spray or brush the tops with olive oil or melted butter for a golden finish. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and a touch more Italian herbs if desired.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crescent rolls are puffed and golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Once out of the oven, allow them to cool for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh parsley. Serve warm as an appetizer or a delicious snack!
