Ingredients

4 cups fresh broccoli florets

6 strips of crispy bacon, chopped

1/2 cup red onion, finely diced

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup sunflower seeds

1/3 cup raisins or dried cranberries

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Broccoli: In a large pot of boiling salted water, blanch the broccoli florets for 2 minutes. Drain and immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking. Once cooled, drain again and pat dry.

Cook the Bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and let it drain on a paper towel to absorb excess grease.

Make the Dressing: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Combine the Salad Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, add the blanched broccoli, crispy bacon, diced red onion, shredded cheddar cheese, sunflower seeds, and raisins or dried cranberries.

Dress the Salad: Pour the dressing over the salad mixture and toss gently until all ingredients are evenly coated with the dressing.

Chill and Serve: Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld. Stir again before serving and adjust seasoning if necessary.
