Ingredients

1 cup hazelnuts, toasted

1 cup dark chocolate chips (70% cocoa)

1/2 cup coconut cream (or heavy cream)

1/4 cup maple syrup (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of sea salt

Optional: fresh fruits (strawberries, bananas, or apples) for dipping, graham crackers, or pretzels

Instructions

Prepare Hazelnuts: If you haven't purchased toasted hazelnuts, toast them at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Let them cool, then rub them in a clean kitchen towel to remove the skins.

Melt Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, add the dark chocolate chips. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until fully melted and smooth.

Blend Hazelnuts: In a food processor, combine the toasted hazelnuts and process until they form a creamy paste (hazelnut butter). This can take about 3-5 minutes. Scrape down the sides as needed.

Combine Ingredients: Once the hazelnuts are creamy, add the melted chocolate, coconut cream, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt to the food processor. Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

Taste and Adjust: Taste the dip and adjust the sweetness by adding more maple syrup if necessary. Blend again briefly to incorporate.

Chill (optional): For a firmer dip, cover and refrigerate for about 30 minutes before serving.

Serve: Transfer the chocolate hazelnut dip to a serving bowl. Serve it with fresh fruits, graham crackers, or pretzels for an indulgent treat.
