Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey

1 medium onion, diced

3 garlic cloves, minced

2 cans (15 oz each) white beans (such as cannellini or navy), drained and rinsed

1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies

1 cup chicken broth or low-sodium vegetable broth

1 cup corn (fresh, frozen, or canned)

1-2 jalapeño peppers, diced (adjust based on spice preference)

1 tsp ground cumin

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp chili powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Juice of 1 lime

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Sour cream or Greek yogurt for serving (optional)

Shredded cheese for serving (optional)

Instructions

Brown the Turkey: In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground turkey. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks, approximately 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Prepare the Slow Cooker: Transfer the browned turkey into the slow cooker. Add diced onion, minced garlic, drained white beans, diced tomatoes with their juice, chicken broth, corn, and diced jalapeños.

Season the Chili: Sprinkle in the ground cumin, dried oregano, chili powder, smoked paprika, and season with salt and pepper. Stir to combine all the ingredients well.

Cook: Cover the slow cooker and set to cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours. The flavors will meld and the chili will thicken as it cooks.

Finish and Serve: About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the lime juice. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot in bowls, garnished with fresh cilantro, a dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt, and a sprinkle of shredded cheese if desired.

Enjoy: Dive into your comforting bowl of white bean and turkey chili, perfect for a cozy meal!
