Ingredients

2 cups elbow macaroni

4 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

4 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled

4 cups milk

1 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Slow Cooker: Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker with cooking spray or butter to prevent sticking.

Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the elbow macaroni, sharp cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, crumbled bacon, milk, chicken broth, sour cream, melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is well incorporated.

Transfer to Slow Cooker: Pour the mixture into the slow cooker. Spread it out evenly and ensure the pasta is submerged in the liquid.

Cook: Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours. Stir the pasta mixture every 30-45 minutes to prevent it from sticking and ensure even cooking.

Check for Doneness: After about 2 hours, check the pasta's tenderness. If it’s not soft yet, continue to cook while stirring every 30 minutes.

Final Stir: Once the macaroni is cooked to your desired tenderness, stir the mixture vigorously. If the mac and cheese is too thick, you can add a splash more milk to achieve your desired creaminess.

Serve and Garnish: After everything is well-mixed and creamy, sprinkle additional crumbled bacon on top and garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired. Serve hot and enjoy your delightful crispy, creamy bowl of slow-cooked mac and cheese!
