Ingredients

4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/3 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium recommended)

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme)

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prep the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season them generously with salt and pepper on both sides. Let them sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.

Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, thyme, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.

Cook the Pork Chops: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and have an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Transfer the cooked pork chops to a plate and cover loosely with foil to keep warm.

Create the Sauce: In the same skillet, pour in the honey garlic sauce. Stir with a wooden spoon, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the pan for extra flavor. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for about 2-3 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.

Combine & Glaze: Return the cooked pork chops to the skillet, spooning the sauce over each chop. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to reheat the chops and ensure they are well coated with the honey garlic sauce.

Serve: Transfer the glazed pork chops to serving plates, drizzling any remaining sauce on top. Garnish with chopped parsley for a pop of color.
