Peach Iced Green Tea

Ingredients
  

4 cups water

3 green tea bags

2 ripe peaches, sliced

1/4 cup honey (or to taste)

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Ice cubes

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Boil the Water: In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil. Once boiling, remove from heat.

    Steep the Green Tea: Add the green tea bags to the hot water, covering the saucepan. Let the tea steep for about 3-5 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

      Prepare the Peaches: While the tea is steeping, wash and slice the peaches. To enhance the peach flavor, you could grill them briefly on a grill pan for 1-2 minutes until just charred.

        Sweeten the Tea: Remove the tea bags after steeping, and stir in the honey until fully dissolved. Then add the lemon juice and mix well. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.

          Combine with Peaches: In a pitcher, add the sliced peaches. Pour the cooled green tea over the peaches and mix gently to combine the flavors.

            Chill: Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour or until thoroughly chilled. For a more intense peach flavor, let it infuse overnight.

              Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled peach iced green tea over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
