Ingredients

8 small slider buns or dinner rolls

4 large eggs

1 medium apple, thinly sliced (preferably a sweet variety like Honeycrisp)

4 slices of sharp cheddar cheese

4 slices of cooked bacon or turkey bacon (optional)

1 tablespoon butter

Salt and pepper to taste

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

Fresh arugula or spinach for garnish (optional)

Honey or maple syrup for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Buns: Cut the slider buns in half horizontally. Arrange the bottom halves on the prepared baking sheet. Set the top halves aside for later.

Cook the Eggs: In a small skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook to your desired doneness (soft, medium, or hard). For a creamy texture, gently scramble the eggs towards the end of cooking.

Assemble the Sliders: Layer the cooked eggs evenly across the bottom buns. Add the apple slices on top of the eggs, followed by the slice of cheddar cheese. If you're using bacon, place a slice on top of the cheese.

Top It Off: Place the top halves of the buns over the layered ingredients. Press down gently to help everything hold together.

Bake the Sliders: Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the buns are slightly toasted.

Add Final Touches: Once out of the oven, you may sprinkle a bit of cinnamon over the top if desired. Garnish with fresh arugula or spinach for a pop of color and freshness. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup for a sweet finish if you'd like.

Serve: Allow to cool slightly before slicing the sliders individually and serve warm.
