Ingredients

1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup diced tomatoes

1/2 cup dill pickles, finely chopped

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 head of iceberg or butter lettuce (leaves separated)

Optional toppings: mustard, ketchup, diced onions, and avocado

Instructions

Prepare the Beef Mixture:

    - In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

      Cook the Beef:

        - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Once hot, add the seasoned beef mixture and break it up with a spatula. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the beef is browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.

          Add Cheese:

            - Lower the heat to medium-low. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the cooked beef. Cover the skillet with a lid for 1-2 minutes to allow the cheese to melt.

              Prepare Lettuce Wraps:

                - While the beef is cooking, rinse and dry the lettuce leaves. Select the most intact, cup-like leaves for the wraps. Set them aside on a serving platter.

                  Assemble the Bites:

                    - Using a spoon, scoop a small amount of the cheesy beef mixture into the center of each lettuce leaf. Top with diced tomatoes, pickles, and any additional toppings you prefer (like mustard or avocado).

                      Serve:

                        - Arrange the assembled lettuce wrap bites on a platter as a fun and healthy appetizer or meal. Encourage guests to enjoy them fresh!
