Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)

1 large head of romaine or butter lettuce, separated into leaves

1 small tomato, diced

¼ cup pickles, chopped

¼ cup red onion, diced

½ cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a healthier option)

1 tbsp mustard (optional)

Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Brown the meat until fully cooked, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks. This should take about 7-8 minutes.

Season the Meat: Once the ground beef is cooked, sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine and let them cook together for another 2 minutes for the flavors to meld.

Melt the Cheese: Lower the heat and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the meat. Cover the skillet with a lid to allow the cheese to melt for about 2-3 minutes.

Assemble the Lettuce Cups: While the cheese is melting, prepare your lettuce leaves by washing and patting them dry. Place a generous spoonful of the cheeseburger mixture into each lettuce leaf.

Add Toppings: Top each lettuce cup with diced tomatoes, chopped pickles, and red onion. If desired, drizzle with mayonnaise and mustard for extra flavor.

Garnish and Serve: Finally, garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro, if using, and serve immediately as a fun, satisfying low-carb meal.
