Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup warm milk (110°F/45°C)

2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)

3 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 teaspoon salt

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, thyme, or basil)

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (for brushing)

2 teaspoons minced fresh garlic

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Extra Parmesan for sprinkling

Instructions

Activate the Yeast: In a small bowl, mix warm milk with sugar and yeast. Let it sit for about 5–10 minutes until foamy.

Make the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, garlic powder, and dried herbs. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg. Stir until a dough forms.

Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. If the dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour as needed.

First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling: In a small bowl, mix the minced fresh garlic with 4 tablespoons of melted butter and grated Parmesan.

Shape the Dough: Once the dough has risen, punch it down. Divide it into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball.

Assemble the Pull Aparts: Take a ball, dip it in the garlic butter mixture, then place it in a greased round baking dish. Repeat until all dough balls are arranged closely in the pan. Pour any remaining garlic butter over the top and sprinkle with extra Parmesan.

Second Rise: Cover the dish again and let the balls rise for another 30–40 minutes until they puff up.

Preheat the Oven: While the dough is rising, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Bake: Bake the pull-apart bread for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown on top.

Garnish and Serve: Once out of the oven, brush with any remaining butter mixture and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Enjoy!: Pull apart the delicious, gooey pieces and savor the golden garlic Parmesan goodness.
