1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed

4 cloves garlic, minced

3 tablespoons olive oil

Zest of 1 lemon

Juice of 1 lemon

1 teaspoon sea salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional for serving)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Prep the Asparagus: Rinse the asparagus under cold water and pat dry. Trim the woody ends (about 1-2 inches) off the bottom of the spears.
