Ingredients

Crust:

2 cups crushed pretzels

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

¼ cup granulated sugar

Filling:

2 cups plain Greek yogurt (or any flavored yogurt of your choice)

½ cup honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup fresh strawberries, diced (or thawed frozen strawberries)

Topping:

1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

¼ cup granulated sugar (for syrup)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

Prepare the Crust:

    - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

      - In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and ¼ cup of sugar until well mixed.

        - Press the pretzel mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x9 inch baking pan to create an even crust. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.

          Make the Filling:

            - In another bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.

              - Fold in the diced strawberries gently, making sure they are evenly distributed without breaking them down too much.

                Assemble the Squares:

                  - Once the pretzel crust is cool, spread the yogurt filling evenly over the crust. Smooth out the top with a spatula.

                    - Cover the pan with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours or until solid.

                      Prepare the Strawberry Topping:

                        - While the filling sets, make a quick strawberry syrup. In a small saucepan, combine sliced strawberries, ¼ cup granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until the strawberries release their juices and the sugar dissolves, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool.

                          Serve:

                            - Once the frozen yogurt squares are fully frozen, remove from the freezer. Let them sit for about 5-10 minutes at room temperature for easier slicing.

                              - Cut into squares and drizzle each square with the strawberry syrup you made. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Strawberry Pretzel Dream Squares!
