3 ripe bananas

1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)

2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

1/4 cup crushed walnuts or pecans (optional)

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips or mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Bananas: Peel the bananas and cut them into thick slices, about 1 inch wide. Place the banana slices in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

    Make the Yogurt Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until thoroughly combined.

      Swirl the Yogurt: Take a spoonful of the yogurt mixture and dollop it over the banana slices. Using a toothpick or the back of a spoon, gently swirl the yogurt over the bananas so some of the yogurt is mixed with the banana, but avoid completely mixing it.

        Add Optional Toppings: If desired, sprinkle crushed walnuts or pecans and dark chocolate chips over the yogurt banana swirl.

          Freeze: Place the baking sheet in the freezer and freeze for about 3-4 hours, or until the yogurt has hardened.

            Slice and Serve: Once frozen solid, remove the baking sheet from the freezer. Allow the slices to sit for a couple of minutes at room temperature for easier slicing. Use a sharp knife to cut between the banana slices, creating individual frozen yogurt banana cinnamon swirl slices.
