Ingredients

2 cups frozen strawberries

1 cup fresh basil leaves (packed)

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)

1/2 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)

3 cups water

Ice cubes (for serving)

Lemon slices and basil sprigs (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water with the honey or agave syrup. Heat over low-medium heat, stirring until the sweetener is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.

Blend the Ingredients: In a blender, add the frozen strawberries, fresh basil leaves, freshly squeezed lemon juice, the cooled simple syrup, and the remaining 2 cups of water. Blend on high until smooth and well combined.

Strain (Optional): If you prefer a smoother lemonade, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove the pulp and seeds. This step is optional, depending on your texture preference.

Chill: Place the pitcher in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to chill and allow the flavors to meld together.

Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the strawberry basil lemonade over the ice.

Garnish: Add a slice of lemon and a sprig of basil to each glass for a beautiful presentation.

Enjoy: Sip and relish the refreshing blend of sweet strawberries, fragrant basil, and zesty lemon flavors!
