Ingredients

1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

¼ cup granulated sugar

1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk

1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4-5 lemons)

1 tablespoon lemon zest

1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

½ cup powdered sugar

Fresh lemon slices and mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Crust: In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated and resemble wet sand.

Bake the Crust: Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x9 inch (or equivalent) baking pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, then remove and allow it to cool completely.

Make the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, and whipped topping until smooth and well combined.

Sweeten It Up: Gradually add in the powdered sugar, continuing to whisk until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Combine and Pour: Carefully pour the lemon filling over the cooled graham cracker crust, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

Freeze: Cover the pan with plastic wrap or aluminum foil, and place it in the freezer. Allow the bars to freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

Cut and Serve: Once solid, remove the bars from the freezer. Use a sharp knife to cut them into squares or rectangles. For easier cutting, you can run the knife under hot water before slicing.

Garnish: Optional, but recommended! Garnish each bar with a fresh lemon slice and a sprig of mint for a pop of color and flavor.

Enjoy!: Serve chilled and enjoy these refreshing frozen lemonade pie bars on a warm day!
