Ingredients

1 large round loaf of sourdough or ciabatta bread

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves of garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Bread: Using a serrated knife, make deep cuts in the bread in a crisscross (grid-like) pattern, ensuring not to cut all the way through the bottom, so the loaf remains intact.

Mix the Cheese: In a medium bowl, combine mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan cheese. Set aside.

Make the Garlic Mixture: In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, fresh parsley, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes (if using), and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Stuff the Bread: Gently pull apart the sections of bread and drizzle or brush the garlic-butter mixture throughout the cuts. Then, generously stuff the cheese mixture into each opening, ensuring it's evenly distributed all over.

Wrap for Baking: Wrap the entire loaf in aluminum foil, shiny side in, to help the cheese melt evenly.

Bake: Place the wrapped loaf on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes.

Unwrap and Toast: Carefully unwrap the bread and return it to the oven (uncovered) for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the top is golden brown.

Serve: Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, then place it on a serving platter. Tear apart to enjoy the cheesy goodness!
