4 whole wheat pita bread (or regular pita bread)

4 tablespoons olive oil (or melted coconut oil)

2 tablespoons granulated sugar (or coconut sugar for a healthier option)

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

Optional: 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for a more aromatic flavor)

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.

    Prepare the Pita Bread: Cut each pita bread into 6-8 wedges, like a pizza. If you're using whole pitas, you may want to separate them into halves before cutting for thinner chips.

      Mix the Coating: In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt. If you’re using vanilla extract, add it to the olive oil in the next step.

        Coat the Pita Wedges: In a large mixing bowl, drizzle the olive oil over the pita wedges, ensuring each piece is lightly coated. Gently toss the pita wedges until they are evenly coated in oil, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over them. Toss again until the mixture is evenly distributed.
