1 lb chicken tenders

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup crushed cornflakes (for extra crunch)

1 tablespoon ranch seasoning mix

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

4 large flour tortillas or wraps

1 cup shredded lettuce

1 cup diced tomatoes

½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or a cheese blend)

½ cup ranch dressing (store-bought or homemade)

Olive oil for frying

Instructions
 

Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken tenders in a bowl and pour the buttermilk over them. Cover and let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour to tenderize the chicken and enhance flavor.

    Prepare the Breading Station: In one shallow dish, mix together the flour, crushed cornflakes, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.

      Coat the Chicken: Remove the marinated chicken tenders from the refrigerator. One by one, dip each tender into the flour mixture, coating it evenly. Press down gently to make sure the coating sticks well.

        Heat the Oil: In a large frying pan, heat about ½ inch of olive oil over medium-high heat. You’ll know it’s ready when a drop of water sizzles when added to the oil.

          Fry the Chicken: Carefully place the coated chicken tenders into the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
