Ingredients

1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

½ cup olive oil (or cooking spray for a lighter version)

Optional: fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Optional: lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Green Beans:

Rinse and trim the green beans. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

      Set Up the Breading Station:

In three separate bowls, place the all-purpose flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of panko breadcrumbs, minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and Parmesan cheese.

          Coat the Green Beans:

            - Dredge each green bean in flour, ensuring it's fully coated and shaking off the excess.

              - Dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.

                - Finally, roll it in the panko mixture, pressing lightly to ensure the coating adheres well. Repeat this process for all green beans.

                  Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

                      Arrange the Green Bean Fries:

Once all green beans are coated, arrange them in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil or spray them lightly with cooking spray to promote crispness.

                          Bake:

Bake the green bean fries for 15-20 minutes, flipping them halfway through for even cooking, until they are golden brown and crispy.

                              Garnish and Serve:

Remove from the oven, and if desired, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color. Serve warm with lemon wedges on the side for a refreshing squeeze.
