Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1/4 cup unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)

Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

Preparation: Start by patting the shrimp dry with paper towels. This will help them get crispy in the cooking process.

Seasoning the Shrimp: In a bowl, combine the shrimp with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes. Toss well to coat evenly and let marinate for about 15 minutes.

Breading Station: Set up a breading station with two shallow dishes: one with all-purpose flour and the other with panko breadcrumbs. Add a pinch of salt to the breadcrumbs for flavor.

Coating the Shrimp: Take each shrimp, first dredge it in the flour, shaking off any excess, then dip into the breadcrumbs, pressing down firmly to ensure the breadcrumbs stick well. Repeat for all shrimp.

Cooking the Shrimp: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.

Frying: Once the garlic is aromatic, add the breaded shrimp to the skillet in a single layer (do this in batches if necessary). Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.

Finishing Touches: Squeeze the lemon juice over the cooked shrimp and give them a gentle toss to distribute the flavors.

Serving: Remove the shrimp from the skillet and transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and lemon wedges on the side for extra zest.
