Ingredients

2 plain bagels

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 large apple (preferably a tart variety like Granny Smith)

1/2 cup caramel sauce (for dipping)

Optional: 1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as pecans or walnuts) for added crunch

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Bagels: Slice each bagel into thin, even wedges, about 1/2 inch thick. This will create the bagel chips.

Make the Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.

Coat the Bagel Chips: Place the bagel wedges on a baking sheet. Brush both sides lightly with the melted butter. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over both sides of the bagel wedges.

Bake the Bagel Chips: Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the bagel chips are golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning, as ovens can vary.

Prepare the Apples: While the bagel chips are baking, wash and core the apple. Slice it into thin wedges, or you can slice it into sticks based on your preference.

Serve & Dip: Once the bagel chips are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve the bagel chips alongside the apple slices and drizzle with caramel sauce for dipping. If desired, sprinkle the chopped nuts over the caramel for extra texture.
