Ingredients

1 baguette, sliced into 1-inch pieces

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup Gruyère cheese, shredded

1 cup cooked and crumbled Italian sausage

1 cup thinly sliced salami

1 cup diced cooked ham

1/2 cup pitted green olives, sliced

1/2 cup pitted black olives, sliced

4 large eggs

2 cups whole milk

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Baking Dish: Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish with cooking spray or butter.

Layer the Bread: Arrange half of the sliced baguette pieces at the bottom of the baking dish, overlapping them slightly.

Add Meats and Cheese: Spread half of the crumbled Italian sausage, salami, and diced ham evenly over the bread. Then sprinkle half of the cheddar and Gruyère cheese on top.

Add Olives: Evenly distribute the green and black olives over the cheese layer.

Repeat the Layers: Add the remaining baguette slices on top, followed by the rest of the meats and cheeses in the same manner.

Whisk the Egg Mixture: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Pour Over the Casserole: Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered ingredients in the casserole dish, ensuring all the bread is soaked.

Press Down: Gently press down on the casserole with your hands to ensure that the bread absorbs the egg mixture.

Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Then, uncover and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and set.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it sit for about 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve warm.
