Ingredients

2 cups fresh blueberries (or frozen)

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)

1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust for sweetness)

2 cups cold water

2 cups ice cubes

Lemon slices and blueberries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Blueberries: If using fresh blueberries, rinse them thoroughly. If using frozen, you can skip this step.

Blend the Ingredients: In a blender, combine the blueberries, freshly squeezed lemon juice, granulated sugar, and cold water. Blend on high until smooth, about 30-60 seconds.

Strain the Mixture (Optional): For a smoother texture, you can strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the blueberry skins. This step is optional; you can keep it as is for more fiber.

Add Ice: Add the ice cubes to the blueberry-lemon mixture in the blender and blend again until the mixture is slushy and the ice is finely crushed. You may need to adjust the amount of ice to reach your desired consistency.

Taste and Adjust: Taste the slush and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding more sugar or a bit of honey, blending briefly to incorporate.

Serve: Pour the slush into chilled glasses. Garnish with lemon slices and extra blueberries if desired.

Enjoy: Serve immediately with a straw or a spoon, and enjoy this refreshing treat on a hot day!
