Ingredients

4 cups seedless watermelon, diced into small cubes

1 cup feta cheese, crumbled

1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped, plus a few whole leaves for garnish

2 tablespoons balsamic glaze

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

6 small cones (waffle cones, cookie cones, or homemade pastry cones)

Instructions

Prepare the Watermelon: In a large mixing bowl, add the diced watermelon. If you prefer, you can also use a melon baller for a more elegant presentation.

Add Feta: Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese over the watermelon cubes, gently tossing to combine without breaking up the feta too much.

Incorporate Basil: Add the finely chopped basil to the watermelon and feta mixture. Drizzle olive oil over the top and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Gently toss all ingredients together until well combined.

Fill the Cones: Carefully scoop the salad mixture into each of the cones, allowing it to overflow slightly for a fun and enticing look.

Garnish: Drizzle balsamic glaze over the filled cones and top each one with a whole basil leaf for a touch of elegance.

Serve: Arrange the cones on a serving platter and enjoy them immediately as a refreshing appetizer or snack.
